Erik made his way into lighting design and integration sales through his years in the filmed entertainment live event industries.
While in college, and in the years following, he worked in the camera, lighting, set construction, and special effects departments for many series and feature films, includingThe People's Court, Nash Bridges, A Smile Like Yours, and What Dreams May Come. Later, Erik would collaborate as a cinematographer for feature documentary films includingMitt, Resolved, and Whitney Young - The Power Broker.
As an I.A.T.S.E stagehand, Erik would often fill-in as a live event projectionist and data management technician, which eventually led to sales and management roles at major staging companies in the San Francisco Bay Area.
After relocating his family from California to North Carolina, Erik focused on unscripted television production with credits for Discovery Channel, History Channel, Speed, TLC and others.
For the past decade, he has specified lighting and controls systems for architectural, education, stage and studio, themed attractions, and house of worship segments.
At Christie Lites Sales, Erik collaborates with specifiers and end-users to help bring their ideas into reality. Every project is conceived and designed individually, balancing concerns around accessibility, aesthetics, efficiency and sustainability.
Erik resides in North Carolina, and in his free time, he enjoys mountain biking, skateboarding, surfing, model making, classic films, and gardening. He recently restored a vintage Airstream trailer, bringing a bit of his old carpentry skills to the project.
