My interest in theatrical lighting began in my early teens.
I joined the Redbridge Youth Theater workshop in East London, England at 14.
I was not a very good actor, yet I loved theater and musicals and the fun of putting on shows.
I assisted with the lighting for many of our shows across England, France, Germany and Czechoslovakia in the mid 1970’s
I also set up and ran the lights for many East London bands in pubs before coming to Canada in 1980.
From 1980 to 1986 I  completed 14 coast to coast national tours with the Ska band “The Villains”
In 1986 I was hired as one of the LD’s at Expo 86 Vancouver at the 86th Street Music Hall.
This was lots of fun and I got to work with amazing artists like BB King, Jeff Healy and Colin James

In February1987 I began work at Westsun Vancouver  – a major theatrical lighting company – as a general assistant in the Lighting warehouse.
I joined the Sales department at Westsun in May 1987 as a Customer Service Rep.
Over the next 14 years I  worked my way up to Customer Service Manager, Sales Manager and Project Manager at Westsun

I returned to England in January 2002 for a year and joined the sales department at AC Lighting in High Wycombe.
In December 2002  I received an offer to join the Christie Lites Sales Vancouver team.

I was very happy to come “home” to Vancouver to see my clients and friends, and to work with the great team at Christie Lites Sales.
I love the variety in my job which has allowed me to work on major installation projects across Canada.
I get to help many teachers, schools, theaters, churches, film companies, museums  and electrical engineers with their lighting needs on a daily basis.
My wife Tracey and I have been blessed with 8 kids. My Life is full of love, fun and challenges.
