Matthew LaBrie has been a fixture in the theatre community in Calgary for over 30 years. He started off his theatre career acting with Storybook Theatre where he soon moved to the light side. Getting a BFA from the University of Calgary he was soon hired by the U of C Theatre Services. After spending 10 years brightening the stages at the University of Calgary, he moved on to freelance with several companies. He went back to University to spend 10 years enlightening students at the Mount Royal University Theatre Dept. He is now illuminating Calgary as a lighting specialist for Christie Lites Sales.
